Zipp 454 NSW Disc Wheelset

The Zipp 454 NSW Tubeless disc brake version is the ultimate aerodynamic flagship from Zipp's high-end Nest Speed Weaponry (NSW) range. Like the feather-light 353 NSW, the 454 NSW uses the striking, undulating rim edge with a varying depth of 53 to 58 mm (the biomimetic Sawtooth design).

Combined with the fin-shaped Hyperfoil nodes and the hexagonal golf-ball dimple pattern, this undulating profile drastically reduces both aerodynamic drag and crosswind sensitivity. As a result, the 454 NSW offers the aerodynamic advantages and stiffness of a deep 58 mm wheelset, yet handles as stably in strong gusts as a much shallower rim. Thanks to Zipp's Total System Efficiency (TSE) philosophy and the switch to a modern hookless rim design, this premium wheelset has become extremely light, which also makes it suitable for tough climbs.

• Weight: Just 1400 grams for the complete wheelset in the lightest configuration (over 100 grams lighter than its Firecrest sibling).
• Rim profile: Undulating Sawtooth profile with a depth varying between 53 mm and 58 mm, an external width of 28 mm and an internal width of 23 mm.
• Rim type (Hookless): TSS (Tubeless Straight Side). Compatible with tubeless or tubeless-ready tyres only. Traditional folding tyres with an inner tube are not permitted.
• Tyre compatibility: Suitable for tyre widths from 28 mm to 35 mm. Fully optimised for 28 mm road tyres in terms of aerodynamics and rolling resistance.
• Maximum tyre pressure: Strictly limited to a maximum of 5.0 bar / 73 psi due to the hookless construction.
• AXS Connected (Built-in Sensor): Equipped with the integrated Zipp AXS Wheel Sensor, which sends your tyre pressure live to your bike computer while you ride.
• Hubs & Drive: Ultra-high-end Zipp ZR1 SL hubs fitted with premium hybrid ceramic bearings and a freewheel system with 66 points of engagement for an instant response.
• Graphics: Features ImPress direct-print graphics, with the logos printed directly onto the rim so as not to disrupt the effect of the aero dimples.
• Weight limit: The maximum recommended system weight (rider + bike and equipment) is 114 to 115 kg.
• Spokes & Brakes: Built with 24 J-bend aero spokes in both the front and rear wheel and a Center Lock disc brake mount.
